There’s this funny thing about goals …

They tend to have quite the sense of humor.

Just when you think you have a pretty good idea of how you’ll accomplish your dream, life has a way of stepping in and fooling around with your plans.

This reminds me of our pal Mel Robbins. Her dream was to become the Rush Limbaugh of personal development, with over 20 million listeners, 600 radio stations, and a $400MM salary.

Then, she went to San Francisco one day to give a Ted Talk. She mentioned this thing called The 5-Second Rule.

The video went viral.

And she quickly became one of the most sought-after motivational speakers on the planet.

Mel thought radio would be her vehicle for transforming millions of lives.

Instead, life gave her a stage and a daytime TV show to achieve the same dream.

What I’m trying to say here is, if you’ve given up on your 2020 goals because life has taken quite the turn lately, open yourself up to not just the possibility but the FACT that dreams almost always have a way of coming together in the most unexpected ways.

If you’ve lost sight of your destination, let today be the day that you find it again. Believe in yourself. Expect it to happen. Maybe not the way you imagined it would. But life can be quite the trickster. It always has something up its sleeve.

Today on the podcast, Zig Ziglar reveals two very important things about setting goals.
