Eighty-percent of my students are women.

Most are moms. They have spouses. Careers. Their own businesses. More responsibilities than I can personally relate to.

Many struggle with taking on so many roles, wearing so many hats, trying to be everything to everyone.

Some want to move up in the company. Others want to grow and scale their own businesses. All want to be good moms to their children.

But as they twist and contort themselves to hold it all together, they feel torn. Conflicted. They wonder if it’s possible to be both-and (both a highly successful woman and an awesome mom) instead of choosing either-or.

In private conversation, many are almost embarrassed to admit that they wish they could stay home and raise their kids. But they often worry about being seen as “just a housewife.” Because in 2022, raising one’s own kids is darn near taboo.

I know, all families have their own situations and circumstances. And they do their bests to make things work. I get that.

And of course, men are responsible for raising children as well. Fully understood.

The question is, is both-and possible?

In other words, realistically, can women have it all?

If so, how?

If not, what can women do to make the very best of both worlds?
