I noticed something.

After a solid month of posting consistent reels (short video content) to Instagram, patterns and trends began to emerge.

One of the most interesting patterns was this…

Reels that got the least amount of engagement — in other words, the least likes, comments, shares, saves, and ultimately, views — were the ones having anything to do with work.

I mean, God forbid that one would actually have to DO something in order to be successful.

Moving forward I’ll only be posting content about how if you THINK about what you want, raise your vibration, and align yourself with the universe, while DOING nothing at all, the success you want will just show up one day.

Not.

Maybe I’m old school, but at times I am appalled by this newfangled cultural delusion that attempts to disconnect success from what economists call “human capital” — general work habits, skill development, self-discipline, attitudes toward education and entrepreneurship, and a willingness to delay gratification.

Needless to say, human capital is on the brink of bankruptcy. It’s starting to look like Bizarro World where the want-somethings and the do-nothings are the exact same people.

But prosperity without productivity and performance is not a thing. Upward mobility is reserved for the movers and shakers. For the ones who work.

On today’s episode of the podcast, former football player turned darn good speaker, Bo Eason, shares an unforgettable story about what work ethic REALLY looks like.
