Question for you.
I assume it’s just you and me here. No one is watching. Totally safe space.
What do you want?
No, seriously. What do you really want? I don’t want to hear a sanitized, rationalized version of your dreams. You don’t have to worry about me judging you for wanting more than you need.
Actually, you already have more than you need. So let that one go.
For the past couple semesters, I’ve asked my Money Mind Academy students this very question. For many, it’s their first time actually admitting to and owning their dreams.
Some want to own private jets so they can freely travel the world. Others want to build hospitals. Multiple homes. The best schooling for their children.
Tears are shed. Because finally they said it. Without judgment.
So again, what do you really want?
Last Friday, a week after dozens of students let their dreams be seen and heard for the first time, I asked them another pivotal question:
Are you ready to get your ass kicked in order to have what you want?
In other words, are you ready to fail in public; to be the target of critics; to solve big problems; to work harder than ever before; to lose some sleep; to lose some friends; to suffer setback after setback after setback; and to never, ever give up?
Because if you have big dreams, that’s what it takes. And if anyone tells you different, they’re not telling you the truth.
If you have big dreams, you have to be aware of and be ready for the dream killers. And there are many. I gave you the short list.
On today’s Motivation Monday episode of the podcast, Ed Mylett introduces you to 4 dream killers you will face on your way to what you really want, and what to do about them. Put this one on repeat!
