He’s not the best actor of all time.
Not even close.
I mean, sometimes I can’t even understand what the heck he’s talking about. It’s like he has marbles in his mouth.
At the same time, he’s one of my favorite actors ever. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched Rocky IV. I saw Creed at the theater three times. And I’ll still stop whatever I’m doing to watch Tango & Cash, Demolition Man, or any of the Rambo flicks on cable.
But what if I were to tell you that Sylvester Stallone’s storied career almost never happened?
What if I were to tell you that as an out-of-work screenwriter, he was so broke and hungry that he sold his dog for $25 in front of a liquor store?
Today on The Quote of The Day Show, Tony Robbins shares Sylvester Stallone’s unforgettable story of persistence. And how Sly got his dog back.
Enjoy today’s quote. Leave a comment below and let us know what you think!
I always look forward to your very inspiring quote of the day. Inspiring to say the least.
I’ve been re-watching all the Rocky movies with my kids this week, and we’re manifesting Rocky everywhere from social media to t.v. shows. I was just mentioning to one of my daughters literally minutes ago, that we should watch Demolition Man. Sly’s the best!!!!!! I love his story!
While I'm no LR fan, but why is she getting all of the hate? Why blame the victim? She had her own mediocre success and thought she'd found her prince (ok Prime Minister). Would you rather she'd hooked up with a local busr&t?Hee#39;s the grimy one. Didn't he kick her out of the mansion and moved in the chick from 106 & Park? Weren't both MM and LR treated for bite marks and scratches after an altercation? He's a joke and he gives Black leadership a bad name.
Parabéns ao vereador Vanildo Sotero e aos demais vereadores. Eu estava com medo de que fosse aumentado o número de cadeiras na câmara. Pois quem iria perder com isso seria nós cidadãos prnepocoses.
