They said all kinds of stuff.

They said I should dress more professionally when filming my old YouTube videos.

That I should cut back on the slang, grow my hair out, and be more relatable.

That leading off my videos with a “Yo! What’s Up, Y’all!” wasn’t a good way to be taken seriously.

That I should stop giving away so much free content.

That I should sell something in every single newsletter.

That I should email my list 7 days a week.

That I should post more on social media.

But all I keep thinking is that the only thing I should be doing … is being myself. It’s the only person I know how to be.

Turns out, the shit works.

If outside voices are telling you what you should do and who you should be, if it doesn’t feel right, if it doesn’t feel like YOU, don’t do it.

Be who you are.

Do what feels like you.

Today on the podcast, Eric Thomas is back to talk about the importance of being yourself and staying true to who you are.
