Everyone has to start somewhere.

But the majority of us have this tendency to want to wait until everything is “just right” before we start working on our dreams.

Let me tell ya, friend. Things will never be just right. Not tomorrow, or next Monday, or “someday.”

The funny thing is, I think we all know this. I think this whole “just right” thing is a con job we run on ourselves. It’s a way of blaming our external circumstances for all the things we say we want to do but never get started on. That way, we don’t have to be responsible.

Because it’s easier. It feels better. And we can get others to play along with us, because they’re running the very same con on themselves.

But when we really get down to it, I think the #1 reason why most people never get started on their dreams is because they can’t see themselves achieving them.

The ideal version of themselves so exceeds their self-image that they don’t believe it’s possible. So they procrastinate.

What we’re really waiting for is our self-image, our belief in ourselves, to be “just right.”

Getting started isn’t just about taking action; it’s about taking responsibility — for our lives, for our greatness, for how we see ourselves.

How can you elevate your self-image and start taking action?
