We’re one week in.

If I had to guess, I’d estimate that at least 40% of our collective 2018 goals and resolutions have been forgotten. Already.

We can’t let that happen. So here’s a tip:

Make yourself a goal card. Write your SPECIFIC goal down on an index card and keep it in a place where you can see or feel it multiple times each day.

If you’re shy about displaying your goal card where others can see it, keep it in your pocket. That way, every time you reach into your pocket you’ll be reminded of what you’ve set out to do.

And be sure to write your goal in the present tense. For example: I am so happy and grateful now that __________________ .

Why make a goal card?

Well, the physical act of writing down your goal activates an area of your brain that is responsible for taking action. This same brain center also fires up when you think about your goal.

The more your goal card causes you to think about and imagine your goal, the more likely you are to take action on it.

It’s simple, highly effective, and quite scientific.

Here’s what mine says:

I am so happy and grateful now that I have earned $_______ in revenue in 2018 by ___________ and ______________ .

And that’s another tip for ya …

If you’ve got BIG goals, keep them to yourself. Or only share them with a small group of goal-oriented friends. Cuts way down on the negative “well, just HOW are you gonna do that?” chatter from people who don’t believe in themselves.

Speaking of goals, our pal Bob Proctor is back for today’s Motivation Monday episode of The Quote of The Day Show.

Bob reveals his 3-step process for setting and accomplishing your goals, taking them from fantasy to theory to fact. Enjoy!
