I was reading another Robert Collier book last night.

Just when I was about to grab my bookmark and turn out the lights, I just so happened to stumble upon the perfect quote for today’s post.

“We put the mountain in labor, just to bring forth a mouse.”

Word up, Bob.

As Will Smith said in Motivation Mix #12, us humans have a way of complicating things. We make the simple complex. Because it can’t be that easy.

So when ancient wisdom tells us that we can have whatever we want by simply asking for it and then believing that we will receive it, we go full-blown skeptic.

Or, we can’t let go of the part of ourselves that feels unworthy of receiving.

Or, we don’t want to put in the work.

So we put in small requests, not realizing that the universal storehouse of treasures never runs out of inventory.

We bring forth the mouse when we could have had it all.

Today on The Quote of The Day Show , the late Dr. Wayne Dyer picks up where Jim Rohn left off yesterday, reminding us that we are divine enough to ask and important enough to receive.

Enjoy today’s quote. Leave a comment below and let us know what you think!
