I’ve always wondered…
What would it be like if I could interview myself?
Would I be able to open myself up?
Make myself cry?
Go places where no interviewer has ever gone before?
Of course, these are all questions that I’ll never be able to answer since interviewing myself is pretty much impossible. Though it would be fun to try.
But this week’s episode of The Sessions is probably as close as I’ll ever get to knowing what such an experience would feel like.
Guest host and long-time listener, Sean Baker, does a masterful job of peeling back the layers to reveal parts of me and my story that very few people ever knew.
Wow, what a fabulous interview! I’ve been missing the podcast and this was the perfect way to get back into it. Thank you for your honesty and willingness to share your story. (and thanks to Sean for interviewing you 😉
Thank you, Laura. Glad you enjoyed out talk! 🙂
i was young enough to watch this but thx to a sick aunt of mine i knew what a wo17#&n82ma;s p***y looked like and only watched this wondering how to get in her pants while other kids danced with her
I don’t know how I stumbled across your podcast but I have been a faithful listener since this past year. This particular interview really intrigued me because you shared some very personal and pivotal moments in your life. I know you know what love means Sean…to mention that you would one day correct your father’s name on his grave showed me that you truly honor him and love him. You have something inside of you that is genuinely authentic and fearless…these are the best qualities to have. Good luck to you in everything Sean you are my inspiration!
Thank you, Sandi. So glad you stumbled upon me and the podcast. Appreciate you tuning in!
Thanks for sharing Sean, you helped me back in 2009 when I was very ill and eating all the wrong foods. I’m still fighting the fight with the help from a Holistic ND in Portland, Oregon to rid myself from a bone marrow infection that won’t let me make enough blood cells.
Towards the end you talked about the One Percent, the 1% I’m familiar with that I don’t like are people like the Koch Brothers who want to control government and are busy destroying unions across the USA, these are the 1% who I despise. I envy individuals who are rich in their hearts and not neccesarily in their bank accounts.
Hey Susan! Was a pleasure working with you, my friend. I hope you’re doing well!
Seriously? Don’t discredit all ‘conspiracy theories’. That is such a mind numbing term designed to shame people who look for evidence and think deeply about reality and connect them to people who make ridiculous assumptions such as shape shifting reptiles. In fact the CIA made the term after public questions of the Warren Report. If you are unaware two people getting together and lying to other people is in fact a capability of humans. If you actually study Paul Chek, William Wolcott and Reed Davis you are actually studying health conspiracies. The FDA has massive conflicts of interest with Big Pharma and food industries. Don’t discredit people who see the same consistent lies endemic throughout our society politically and otherwise. Alex Jones is a joke. But people like Sibel Edmonds or James Corbettt are doing real journalism. Don’t jump on the pseudo superior bandwagon of judging others because they actually see through the media and popular culture matrix. Don’t use shallow categorizations to discredit others. Besides that phenomenal podcast like everything you do.
Damn. That was a truly inspiring interview! It was great to get to know about your childhood and the people that have influenced your life. The part that really spoke to me was when you talked about sitting at the basketball staring at the celebrities thinking “They are no different than me”. Really life changing moment listening to that. Good stuff Sean! I’ve been a long time listener of Underground Wellness and was apart of the Gut Thrive program with Christa. The transition into The Sessions is awesome and just what I needed. Keep up the great work and looking forward to your next book!
Sean, that Catholic education may have had more influence than you think. You know it was St. Augustine who made the ‘evil is the absence of good’ or ‘darkness is the absence of light’ argument, don’t you? And to say you need to believe to see, not see to believe, that’s straight from the Gospels in the interchange between the risen Jesus and St. Thomas. Just sayin’… from one of your seriously Catholic listeners. Thanks for letting us in to your world a little more.
Wow! I am so excited for your e-book & JERF bar! Underground Wellness was the first healthy blog/podcast I ever listened to. I am glad you’re back working on The Sessions. Your insight is amazing. Thank you.
You. Inspire. Me. Many blessings and love to you!
